Acne can be a mild annoyance for some people, while for others it’s a horrible affliction. There are many prescriptions and over the counter medicines that you can use to treat acne, but most of the time these treatments leave your skin dried out, red, and flaky. Sometimes they actually make acne worse! They also can be extremely expensive. There are ways to treat your acne naturally so that you can avoid both the high cost, and the dry skin.
What You’ll Need:
Oil-free Mild Soap
Tea Tree Oil
Water
Tomatoes
1. Wash your face.
Remember to always wash your face. Any dirt or oil left on skin from the day will lead to a breakout. Use a mild soap that is oil-free. If you really want to get natural, you can make your own cleanser. Simply combine lemon juice with a tablespoon of honey and dab it onto your acne. Wait for about five minutes, wash off, and you’ll be done. The lemon juice works as an astringent and the honey will soothe your skin, all without harsh chemicals.
2. Spot treat with Tea Tree oil
Spot treatments are great. Tea tree oil is perfect to spot treat your acne. All you have to do is dab it onto the spots every day and wash off after about 5 minutes. You can also use Vitamin A, zinc, aloe vera, or even garlic. Considering the smell, it’s probably best to use garlic at night though.
3. Drink Water
Believe it or not, drinking water will help you get rid of your acne. Water helps to flush any toxins out of your system, and it also cleanses your skin. When toxins build up, they often leave the body through acne.
4. Have Lots of Tomatoes
Tomatoes are actually great to treat acne. Mix rose water, honey, and tomato pulp and then put it on your face like a mask over the acne affected area. Leave it there for 20 minutes and then shower. It’s a great way to start your day and will help you have a beautiful glow all day long.
